From the supplier: The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has embarked on a project to build a national electronic producer information network (PIN), which some sources say is overly ambitious. The PIN project would establish a database of information on insurers for easy access by regulators and legal bodies. Members of an interim board on the project generally endorsed an option to create a freestanding company for the development and operation of the database.
